Relive the pomp and splendor of Czarist Russia with these huge, finely engraved, delightful, colorful, and oh so historic banknotes from the period of 1905 to 1909 (8-12 years before the Russian Revolution that would end the 350-year reign of the Czars).
These notes are hand-picked for color and crispness and to be without tears, holes, splits, missing pieces or pen marks, but may have a few light folds and/or age toning, which is almost inevitable given their age, size and provenance. Grade range will generally range from VF to AU. Please allow for light to moderate age toning (usually confined to the edge). Please email if interested in a very rare AU or better set without toning – usually about double the price.
The offered set has to be considered quite scarce because 90% of these Czarist “horse blankets” have impairments such as tears, splits, rust, soiling, missing pieces, corner chips, heavy creases, tape, dark stains etc.
